Take three multi-talented musicians, powerful stories, original songs, evocative images, lush musical arrangements, mudcake rich harmonies and the gratuitous distribution of Anzac biscuits and Turkish delights – and you have Unsung Heroes of Australian History.
Bruce Watson, Wendy Ealey and Moira Tyers take you on a powerful journey through Australia’s history – celebrating in story, song and images ordinary people who have done extraordinary things.
They ask the big questions: What was Henry Lawson’s mum like? What was the Eureka flag made from and by whom? Why is bushranger Captain Moonlite a gay icon? How old was the youngest soldier to die at Gallipoli? Why did Vegemite catch on? (this is a question a lot of people wonder about)
[well size=”sm”]The Unsung Heroes of Australian History show has won hearts and played to standing ovations across Australia. These songs drip with the satisfying juices of solid research, spirited lyrics and sublime artistry.

[well size=”med”]This show was exceptional … It was a real highlight of the National Folk Festival for me … I’ve loved history all my life and thought I knew a lot about these people. Now I know a lot more. Congratulations to all concerned.
