Martin returns to the stage at Albert Park for more of the usual banter and folk singing.
When asked why he continues to do so, he replied ..

“Why comedy? Well, I really like making people laugh. There is no finer feeling of affirmation than a hundred people showing they like you by laughing at your jokes and stories. And laughter has all the “good” medicinal qualities. I am currently putting together a diet based on “things that are good for you that make you feel good” (to my mind, “making you feel good” should be reason enough for their beneficent nature, but alas, most people require more reasoning.)

So, my list to date consists of:

Red Wine – medically proven to lower cholesterol and promote anti-oxidants.

That’s it so far, although a doctor down in Port Arthur told me that chocolate starts to be good for you if it has over 70% cocoa solids, so I will soon be adding “finest Swiss chocolate” to the list. I’m doing the research now.”

From Martin’s website…

Martin is renowned as not only a marvellous satirist but also as a wonderful poet, musician, singer and author.  He regularly performs at every major folk music festival and folk venue in the country.  His appearances and performances at the prestigious National Folk Festival are legendary and he always fills the largest venues of that huge festival to overflowing.A wonderful night of sparkling comedy and great entertainment

Martin has the ability to take a humorous or a serious song and make it his own. He also has the ability to tell stories that engage and entrance his audience. This is the magic of any great performer. All in all a most enjoyable evening. I left feeling great.

All I can say is so will you , I hope to see you
